IMS 2009 MicroApps. An Exhibitor's Interactive Technical Forum
David Menzer, IMS 2009 MicroApps Committee Chair

As we pass rapidly by Thanksgiving and head to the Christmas break, we’d like to bring the 2009 MicroApps sessions to the attention of all of our marketing and new product introduction friends. While most of the technologists have been busy getting their papers ready for submission to the Technical Committees and hoping for selection at the 2009 IMS Convention in Boston, now is the time for the marketing and new product teams to exercise their creative side and take advantage of the 2009 MicroApps sessions.

TPC Co-ChairsMark Gouker & Larry Kushner, TPC Co-Chairs

The Web site for paper submission has closed, and the Technical Program Committee is busy reviewing the paper summaries. In this month’s IMS Insider we will describe changes to one of our favorite parts of the conference, the interactive forum. We have always found the interactive forum to be an excellent way to get the perfect amount of information from a paper.

Springtime Weather in Boston: Anyone's Guess
David Vye,
IMS Insider Editor and Steering Committee Member

We are well into December and the onset of winter here in New England, which means the temperature has dropped below freezing (except for the occasional warm front) and the snow has started to fall. This is a time of year that divides the locals between those who embrace winter weather (skiers and outdoor enthusiasts) and those who hunker down and wait for spring. Fortunately, by the time the IMS rolls around the weather will certainly have warmed up and the snow will be replaced by blossoming flowers and birds. For this month’s IMS Insider, we share some scenes from New England’s past winters and share some thoughts on the local weather come June.
