Early indications are that IMS2009 in Boston will be a big success and will break some records. Boston has always been one of the top sites for the IMS, and typically we break every IMS record. These are challenging times so I can't predict that we'll break all the records, but we will certainly break some.

Call For Papers
Paper Submission Guidelines
The paper submission and student competition deadline of December 8 has quickly come and gone. Thank you for submitting your technology papers for this symposium. The flood of last minute papers went right up to the last hour of the deadline. Read this month's Technical Program Update for stats on the received papers. The deadline for final manuscript submission will be March 20, 2009.

The Technical Program Committee has met and made decisions on which papers to accept. We are in the process of finalizing the times and rooms for the presentation of the papers and will make this information available in a future edition of the Insider. In this issue we will describe the workshops and short course to be held at the Symposium. These have just as many attendees as the IMS technical program, but the workshops and short courses don't always get the same publicity.
