MTT-S IMS in Boston: Where Everyone knows Your Name
IMS MTT-S is the largest annual show for CST both in terms of booth traffic and CST investment in the exhibition and sponsorship. Since arriving in the US 10 years ago, we have enjoyed an increasingly high profile among attendees with steadily improving name recognition and understanding of our EM simulation products and services.
Microwave and RF is CST’s core market despite expansion into other markets such as high speed electronics and EMC. Consequently, our commitment to the microwave/RF market and MTT-S remains very high with CST focusing 100% on electromagnetic software solutions. Almost any one of the attendees and hardware exhibitors at the event, could, or already do make use of and benefit from our solutions in some way. To support them and develop new and better solutions, we have over the years we’ve been coming to the show, procured some of the industry’s top engineers and specialists in-house.
Maintaining and strengthening the CST brand has become a key element of the IMS MTT-S event and we have achieved this with strikingly themed booths, highly knowledgeable booth personnel and the bright red, widely seen lanyard sponsorship. Also the sheer size of the event and its numerous PR opportunities has made it a great place to release news of upcoming software and major breakthroughs, as well as giving the community its first glimpse of new developments in action. In addition to announcing almost every significant new release, some of the major breakthroughs first announced here have included our very successful “complete technology” campaign intended to showcase the benefits of having best choice solver technology for the task at hand all within one interface. Other key announcements have been our more recent high performance computing breakthroughs offering multiple speed-up factors through GPU hardware acceleration and MPI for cluster computing.
We enjoy the large numbers of exhibition attendees and the wide range of industry knowledge and experience they bring with them. With this level of expertise present, booth demonstrations are always interesting and bring us many new insights into what solutions industry is looking for in a "virtual prototyping" environment. Every year we are brought novel or demanding applications to take a look at. These, along with many suggestion and ideas passed along at the booth help direct our long term research and development in the microwave/RF area. We also contribute to the community through the MTT-S technical sessions, forums and panels and these have added to CST's reputation as a leading research and development company in the simulation field.
